This route follows the N221 through one of the many Nature reserves in Portugal the road surface was very good and very twisty also some very tight corners which can catch the unwary out,the road follows a river valley which has some great views.
There is a cafe /restaurant just over the bridge on your right (travelling from the North to South)where a lunch break or coffee stop.
I completed this road in August 2013 and the road surface was very good and no police presence.
